What A Choice!
Can't believe Gev is gone! He won me over, to the point where I wanted him to take it all. Was definitely a difficult choice between he and Mark, and I'm sad to see him go. How Gev's gone, and Joshua is still hanging on... I'm baffled.

Fabulousity!
Went to TRP the other night. What a great night of professional wrestling action. It was the best local show I've ever seen. Love when importance is on the in-ring product. By the end of the night, some of the guys I've never really cared for showed me that they have something special to offer. There are a select few that I think could even make an impact in the big leagues if given the opportunity. Wonderful company, great action, amazing night!

Kasprzak Attack!
I was so surprised to see my favorite dancer from season 5, Evan Kasprzak, pop up on the final audition stop of season 4. Seeing him again reminded me of just how amazing he is. It was so nice to see Broadway beautifully represented. While I believe he should have went all the way, Evan seems to be doing very well for himself. As an aside, if you want to see some of his amazing So You Think You Can Dance performances, visit his official website. He's truly a treasure.

Let's Try This Again...
Downloading season 4 of So You Think You Can Dance. It's been way too long! Was going through withdrawal. So looking forward to watching. I know Mark competes, and I love him, so I should have no problem sticking with it until the end.

Just as I suspected! Daniel Cosgrove is returning to All My Children as Scott Chandler. While there isn't an official return date set, he is expected to assume the role in early December.

Took Long Enough!
Hooray! The fourth season of Boy Meets World has an official release date of December 7th. Us fans have been waiting years for this. The season has been on and off the release schedule so many times that I was losing hope. The reissue of the first three seasons must have done well enough for Lionsgate to feel warranted in continuing production of the rest of the series. I couldn't be happier! Absolutely cannot wait to collect them all! Yippee!

Boy Meets World: The Complete First Season
Technical stuff. Really wish the video had been cleaned up a bit. Grain is extremely heavy throughout, sometimes to the point of distraction. I expected that though, so can't cry over it. Audio is standard for this type of release. Special features include audio commentary on select episodes, and a bonus episode from season 4. Commentary is quite enjoyable, and hearing the cast reminisce enriches the experience greatly.
Minor quibbles aside, it's a definite must-own!

Okay, so I already said how amazing the event was. What I didn't mention is that I got free tickets to the next one. A change of venue put a crimp in the seating arrangement. Long story short, I was offered free tickets to the next show to compensate the oversight. Very generous. Good stuff. Saturday, September 11, 2010
This Is Wrestling!!!
Look at the card above. I can honestly say it delivered the best night of professional wrestling I've ever seen live. Everyone knows that I hold in-ring work to a higher level than any other aspect of the business. I've never seen anything more amazing where that's concerned. With the exception of the First Blood match, which was a little too gratuitously violent for my taste, I was awestruck with admiration for everything. Christopher Daniels vs. Tyler Black was in a class all it's own. Too bad they went to a time-limit draw, would loved to have seen a definitive conclusion. Keeps the feud going nicely though I suppose. Think I was most surprised when Rebecca started screaming things during the main event... completely unexpected. She's much fun. Loved that Tim enjoyed it. Nothing better than having your best friend beside you at the matches. Can't wait to go back in December!
September 11th...
May all who read this, at some point in the day, take time to reflect. Tell the people you love most that you do, be grateful to be alive, pray for those lost, and their loved ones. While this day will never be forgotten, it is important to hold our collective head high, and be proud of our country.

So Unfair!
I go on Hulu yesterday to watch Another World, and find out it's only going to be available through October 13th. This is so unfair! Have been following the stories for over a year, and now I feel like I've wasted my time. What exactly was the point of airing it at all? I'm left with so many questions. Do Jamie and Marley live happily ever after with Olivia's baby? Are Paulina and Jake ever going to be happy together? What happens to Kevin? What havoc does Carl reek before his eventual redemption? These are just some...

No Wonder...
First up, Cameron Mathison as Ryan on All My Children. As if the dialogue in the scene where he confronts David over his treatment of Greenlee wasn't bad enough, heavy breathing, bulging eyes, and ridiculous mannerisms send the torture screaming over the edge.
Moving on, the stumbling scenes after David's death. Cameron would have had to actually up his game to be bad. He wasn't even trying. Continuous stuttering, and the screwing up of lines made me want to rip my eyes out of my head, and plug my ears with cotton. Hideous! Everyone knows, I absolutely hate the character, and can't stand the actor. Even taking the usual putridness into account, these scenes were some of the worst I've ever seen.
Darnell Williams is up next as Jesse. To be fair, I think the problem was partially due to writing, but still. The scenes where he's being rude to Liza when she's trying to get information were terrible. What is it with bulging eyes? Thought his were going to pop from there sockets, and roll across the floor. Cartoonish facial expressions are unnecessary in any dramatic situation. For that matter, so is over-enunciating. I expect more from you, Darnell! Rise above the material!
This is the kind of shit that give soaps a bad name!
Years Of Searching...
I finally found a bootleg recording of The 20th Anniversary National Tour of Evita! This tour was the first time I ever saw the show, and it was absolutely amazing! Have been looking for ten years for any audio I could get my hands on, but haven't had much luck. Yesterday, on a whim, I decided to look again. Imagine my surprise when I found a complete live recording. I was stunned! Speechless! Couldn't believe it! Sure, the quality is less than stellar, but it honestly doesn't matter to me. To finally have an audio keepsake of the first production I saw is priceless. Crazy fantasy time. Find someone with professional recording equipment who can clean it up for me. How awesome would it be to have a professional quality recording? I know, I know, probably not going to happen. Just ridiculous wishing. Am grateful to have it in any form!

Couldn't Do It!
Just couldn't get into the third season of So You Think You Can Dance. Thought for sure, that with Neil and Lauren, I wouldn't be able to tear myself away. Very disappointed. Think I'm going to take a break for a while before I give season 4 a try. Damn you, Benji! You were so amazing that watching other people trying to compare is painful.

What To Believe?
Fun!
So, yesterday Rebecca came early, because we weren't exactly sure what time the storm was going to start. We decided to wander around Walgreens for a while to pass the time. I got some hair dye, (will post a picture of the result later), pretty autumn candles, and a drink. Rebecca got some cool stuff, too. Anyway, when we came home, we started taking pictures. Really like this one.
After the photo shoot, we made a cake. Rebecca had told me about an awesome Funny Bone cake. Honestly, I was kind of skeptical where duplicating the taste was concerned. Thankfully, I was wrong. It was absolutely amazing.
P.S. I Love You was next on tap, and definitely a good flick Who Do You Think You Are? was the perfect way of ending the night. Even though we didn't get much of a storm, everything was awesome.

Not Feeling It...
Just started the third season of So You Think You Can Dance, and am just not into it. With the exception of Neil and Lauren, nobody is capturing my attention. Seeing Mia regularly is a treat, but I don't know if that's going to be enough to sustain me. I'll give it a few more episodes to grab me, but I don't see it happening for some reason.

Could It Have Been Anyone Else?
Okay, I confess. Accidentally found out who won the second season before I even started watching. Was sure knowing would take away from the impact of the journey. I was so wrong. I cannot put into words what an amazing privilege it was to see Benji Schwimmer blossom into the incredible artist he became. I wish I could meet him to thank him for inspiring me. Incredible beyond any simple form of expression. Of the seasons I've seen thus far, no one compares. Even if you hadn't taken home the title of America's Favorite Dancer, you'd still be mine! Congratulations!

Another One Gone!
So, Ben has been eliminated from season 2 competition. One question. What took so long? I've never seen his appeal, or supposed ability. The fact that he admitted to putting absolutely no effort into his final solo shows his level of commitment and seriousness. How you could thumb your nose at such an amazing opportunity is beyond me. Glad he's gone. There are far more deserving dancers.

Color Me Shocked!
Okay, so I'm about to watch the finale of the first season of So You Think You Can Dance. I thought for sure that Blake would be there, but was shocked when he got eliminated from the competition. Don't think I've ever seen a contestant as good. He mastered practically every style that was thrown at him. Apparently, though, he didn't need to win it all to become ridiculously famous and successful. It's good to see he got the recognition he deserves. As for the remaining contestants, Jamile leaves me cold, and the girls haven't impressed me much. Hope Nick pulls out the victory. If Blake can't take home the crown, Nick is definitely the next best choice.

Repetitive...
So, Jonnis and Sandra are the first to be sent home. Can't exactly say I'm surprised. They just weren't up to par. That said, I think Allan deserved to pack his things a little more. Don't see him lasting long at all. As I always say, hope ability outshines popularity. Speaking of ability, I'm absolutely in love with Blake. Yes, it's only the beginning, and a lot can change, but I can definitely see him going all the way. He's got my vote so far.
Now, the aspects of the first season I'm not feeling. Music selection remains the same each time a style of dance is repeated. I don't understand this. Spice things up! Dance styles are but a few, leading to a feeling of same old, same old. The floor definitely needs to open up. Lastly, choreography seems a bit simplistic. Really hope to see the choreographers come into their own as the season progresses, and give the dancers challenges to overcome.

Bad, Bad Regis!
Ever since I switched layouts quite a while back, I've been slowly going through the blog and resizing pictures. More room + bigger pictures = easier on the eyes. Anyway, I've been absolutely appalled at the punctuation mistakes I've made. I pride myself on being a good writer, and knowing what goes where. It drives me crazy to know I was so careless and sloppy. At least I'm catching and correcting now. Definitely have to pay closer attention.
Good Eats!
