Strange Yet Adorable…

 Saw these at Walgreens a couple of weeks back for Valentines Day. Aren't they adorable?! Nice to see something other than stereotypical assorted chocolates in a heart-shaped box. Definitely made me laugh.

What A Day!

Spent the day with Eric at his apartment last month. Don't go there as often as I would like because it's on the third floor, and not always easy to get up. Luckily, my PCA was kind enough to offer to carry me, and a day of fun commenced. Started off with a little chatting, then Eric played his guitars for me, we lounged around, and he started cooking dinner while we were watching Frankenstein on Netflix. Everything he makes is delicious, so this was no exception, but you absolutely cannot go wrong with sausage, roasted potatoes, and peppers. Devoured my plate. I contributed a maple cake for dessert, but it was only a Market Basket buy, so it's not worth a picture. This was one of the best days I've had in years, and one I will remember forever. It's super sappy to say, but I'm happiest anytime I'm with Eric.

New Christmas Favorite?

 Went to Walgreens last night looking for snacks, as is customary on Friday evenings, and saw peppermint KitKat bars on the checkout counter display. Never have been a huge fan of peppermint, but try every new KitKat that comes out, so couldn't resist. The verdict is in. Absolutely delicious. The combination of white chocolate and candycane pieces is perfect. So delicious, and fact, that I got three more today, and am probably going to do the same tomorrow. There are only seasonal, so have to get them while I can. Don't think they'll ever come close to replacing Cherry M&M's as my all-time favorite holiday treat, but are an acceptable substitute.

Christmas hasn't been the same this year.  Every year, as the holiday approaches, I wait impatiently for this delicious treat to appear on the shelves.  For some reason, I haven't been able to find them anywhere.  Needless to say, as they're an obsession, I've been extremely upset.  Stephanie to the rescue again!  She found them at Walmart yesterday, and brought me a couple bags.  My holiday spirit was instantly lifted!  Now that I know they still exist, I will be stocking up, as always!  Thank God for Christmas miracles!

Have been looking at this ice cream for a long time, and finally decided to give in.  As I suspected, it is incredible!  Trying to be good, I decided I was done after a few bites.  Stephanie had other ideas.  Let's go over to the counter, break open the chocolate pretzels I just bought, and dip them into the salted caramel goodness!  Such a bad influence!  It was amazing, but she's still an awful person!  Pretend what I'm about to say is coming from her, and not me.  If you want to tease your tastebuds with a bit of nirvana, try this!

Found a recipe that turned out amazing, and wanted to share.  This is Slow Cooker Bacon Wrapped Apple Barbecue Chicken!  My sister made it for the family dinner yesterday, and it totally blew my mind!  Here's the recipe:

Number Of Servings: 2
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time: 8 Hours

Ingredients:

2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
4 slices bacon
1/2 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store bought)
2 large apples, peeled and cur into small pieces
2 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions:
1.  Wrap each chicken breast in 2 slices of bacon and place in a slow cooker.
2.  Mix the BBQ sauce, apples and lemon juice and pour it over the chicken.
3.  Cook on low for 8 hours.

Cherry M&M's!

Not a huge chocolate fan, but these are incredible!  Found them around Christmas, stocked up, ate through them with the quickness, and am now going through withdrawal.  Why is it that my favorite treats are only seasonal?  Unfair, if you ask me!

Had a great salad yesterday for lunch.  Just basic, with a bit of ham, but very enjoyable.  Think it was the way it mixed together.  Bravo, Rainy!

Funday Sunday!

Was so nice to go to the farm yesterday! Hadn't been in a while, and missed everyone! The oldest nephew and I played with matchbox cars, and told stories for a good portion of the afternoon. Wanted some pictures since it's been a while since I've posted anything new. Love that Lily was caught in the middle of a belly laugh in the first one. The vanilla cake with cream cheese frosting was an amazing treat. Just delicious! What a wonderful day!

Cheesy Barbecue Chicken Nachos! Absolutely amazing, and so easy to make! Had them for the first time a couple of days ago, and while they can't appear on my menu too often because of the barbecue sauce, I foresee them becoming one of my favorite cheats!
