HOLY...!

Maura West, and Michelle Stafford!  Just simply amazing!  After months of almost unbearable anticipation, Ava and Nina finally had their first confrontation!  The first thing that made the scenes so great is that it was obvious both actresses were having a blast playing them.  When work is a joy, the audience can tell.  Writing was in top form here.  Every syllable fit each woman like designer shoes.  Honestly, I'd expect nothing less!

My feelings about the brilliance that is Maura West are oft stated.  Perfect choices were made with every breath.  To contrast Nina's over exaggerated facial expressions and transparency, Ava was stone cold, and straight forward!  No vale.  Everything where everyone can see, it took me quite a while to see why Michelle is so loved.  Once I got my first glimpse, though, I joined the club.  She is all in with Nina, and knows exactly how to work.  Every sweet moment trips with insincerity, and every threat is of the most serious nature.

With characters as well-written as these, and actresses who are sure to be responsible for televisions across America exploding, this feud could very well go down as one of the greatest in the history of daytime drama.

In a tweet Tuesday, executive producer Frank Valentini confirmed that Billy Miller is joining the cast of GH, as Jason Morgan.  I'm over the moon!  I have adored Mr. Miller since he played Richie on All My Children, and had always hoped he would grace my screen again someday!  This is incredible!  Welcome, Killer Miller!  A nickname has never been more appropriate, as he is sure to set Port Charles on fire, and absolutely slay every scene he is in!

What will this mean for Jason?  I, for one, cannot wait for the character to show genuine emotion.  Personally, though it's unlikely, I would like Jason to begin rediscovering his roots.  Let's also hope he isn't toting a gun everywhere.  While I'm dreaming, the very first thing he needs to do is smack some sense into Carly.  So pumped for Jason's return to knock everyone on their ass!

Almost There!

Ricky has made it into the performance finale next week!  While there's no  doubt the top four deserve to be where they are, Ricky is above them all.  I honestly can't remember one bad performance all season.  Along those lines, I don't think the judges have had one bad thing to say about him, or his dancing, from the beginning.  I know there's that saying about counting chickens and all, but I'm beyond confident that Ricky will claim his rightful place atop the So You Think You Can Dance mountain!

September 16th!

Barbra's long-awaited new album of duets is being released on September 16th!  I have to say, looking at the list of contributing artists, I'm underwhelmed.  I was hoping for a little bit more of a contemporary feel.  That said, I really enjoyed her first duets offering, and hope my preconception of this album is proven wrong.

The hotel where Stephanie and I stayed.  The room was clean, the people were pretty nice, but we had to use a freight elevator, because the other one was out of service.  Having to go back and forth at all hours, accompanied by garbage, can sure detract from the enjoyment of a stay.
