Home Again...

Wally Kurth and Robin Christopher will reprise their roles of Ned and Skye when they return home to attend Edward's memorial service.  Excited to see them, but wish it was under different circumstances.  According to what little is known, both will interact heavily with Todd, Tea, and Blair.  I smell secrets being revealed.  Should prove very interesting.

Autograph!

Sheamus' autograph!  It's nice to have and all, but I much prefer the picture we took.  With autographs, I find you can never quite read the signature.

WOW!

Got to meet Sheamus yesterday!  Was amazingly awesome!  He was so nice!  Not gonna lie, having the World Heavyweight Championship on my tray was just as big a thrill as meeting the man who holds it.  Crazy, insane experience!

... And Cheese!

7!

Release Me debuted at #7!  For those curious, it is Barbra's 32nd top ten album!  Quite the accomplishment!  Congratulations!

First Professional Pictures!

Mr. Broccoli looking so handsome, and hamming it up for the camera!

High-Def Funny Girl!

Now, this is the news I've been waiting for!  Funny Girl is coming to Blu-ray in 2013!  From the little I've read, a full restoration is expected.  This is so awesome!  Maybe we'll even get some new bonus material.  Will post a release date when one is confirmed.

In related news, A Star Is Born will debut in high-def in 2013 as well!

Burton QUITS!

Steve Burton has quit General Hospital!  YAY!  I don't mind him as an actor, but can't stand Jason!  You won't see me shedding any tears!  No word yet on a final airdate.

Info...

What do you think of the Release Me cover art?  I think it's simple, beautiful, and a great improvement over the last album.  Don't know if I said this before, but I'm extremely disappointed that there are only 11 tracks.  I'm sure they'll be wonderful, but after hearing about this project for as long as we have, I was expecting more.  Anyway, the official track listing is:

1. Being Good Isn’t Good Enough (From Hallelujah, Baby!)
2. Didn’t We
3. Willow Weep For Me
4. Try To Win A Friend
5. I Think It’s Going To Rain Today
6. With One More Look At You (From A Star Is Born)
7. Lost In Wonderland
8. How Are Things In Glocca Morra?/Heather On The Hill (From Finian's Rainbow/Brigadoon)
9. Mother And Child
10. If It’s Meant To Be
11. Home (From The Wiz)

Some surprises are also being promised.  My guess?  Bonus tracks depending on where the album is purchased.  Honestly, that trick has seen its best day for me.  Just one and done.

Couple of big news items!  First, the highly anticipated album of unreleased material, with a ridiculously unimaginative title, Release Me will hit stores on September 25th.  No word yet, but I'm hoping it'll be a box set.  Lord knows, there's probably enough for five or six CDs!

One of the Brooklyn shows is expected to be recorded for future CD/DVD/Blu-ray release.

In the last week or so, I've been very fortunate to add to my collection of Evita recordings.  Am so happy to have finally found the 1986 Hungarian Cast!  Not including promotional singles, I'm pretty sure I have all but one official recording.  So awesome!  When it's complete, I will post a list.

Cookie MONSTER!!!

For Kids?

Gorgeous!

Big thanks to a special friend for making me another Afghan.  Love the pattern, and how it matches the loveseat.  Just beautiful!

What A Find!

For months now, everyone has been telling me I need a table.  Found a couple I liked, but they were too expensive.  This one was at the end of my hallway not long ago, so I grabbed it.  A good scrub, a nice candle holder, and a cheap, albeit pretty, white candle.  Not too bad...

So Handsome!

I love this outfit!

Dixie Do!

Look at that face!

Awesome!

Finally found a picture of John Barrowman as Che!  Have been looking forever!  If only I could find a recording of a performance!  That would be amazing!

Ham!

Photographing this cat is always so much fun!  I swear, he poses!

Magic!

How Cute?

Broadway Revival Photos!

Tour!

Evita will tour the U.S. in the fall of next year!  Best part?  It opens in Providence!  With the success of the current Broadway revival, I imagine the tour production will be a mirror.  I don't care!  Am going to see it no matter what!  So excited!

Intrigued...

Was just listening to a conference call with Dixie Carter, and am very intrigued.  Impact is going live for the summer, and will also air an hour earlier beginning tonight.  Don't really care about that though.  What made my ears perk is all the talk of a new format.  I haven't watched TNA in a long time.  From what I hear though, the same stagnant product that made me tune out in the first place is still front and center.  Dixie is promising big change to walk hand-in-hand with the live experiment.  During the call, she kept eluding to pulling back the curtain even more.  Promising to let the viewer in on things like meetings between management and talent is groundbreaking.  Kind of scary, but enough to get me to check it out.  She also kept reiterating that "wrestling matters."  I hope she means this, and we see some major improvement between the ropes.  I didn't listen to the whole call, but what I heard was enough to get me to put TNA back on to my DVR schedule.  Honestly, because I've been let down so many times in the past, I don't have any hope at all for follow-through.  Who knows?  Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised...

Only At The Spangler Farm!

Date Change..

My apologies for not posting this info earlier, but the release date of The New Broadway Cast Recording of Evita has been changed to June 26th.  It's unfortunate, but at least we only have to wait an extra week.

Official? Hopefully...

Just saw that Amazon has this as the cover image for the Broadway revival CD.  If it's listed on Amazon, it's probably pretty official.  My guess, it was changed in hopes that a picture of Ricky Martin would help sales.  Very smart move, but I like the original cover better.  The absence of the iconic logo is strangely unsettling.

Stylin' Boy!

He's getting so big!  Can't believe it!

Walk...

Last Saturday, Tracie and I decided to go for a walk downtown.  I had just gotten my new camera, and wanted to try it out.  Took some pictures of my favorite eats, and had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful weather.  When we got back, I wanted a picture of us to remember the great evening.  Such a good time!

Change...

This shower curtain belonged to my mom, but I always wanted it.  She got a new one the other day, and was nice enough to give this one to me.  Looks so nice in my bathroom!  Thanks, mom!

Tradition!

Whenever someone in the family gets a new camera, my sister and I break it in by taking a ridiculous photo.  Finally got a new one last weekend, and the tradition continued.

Birthday!

My oldest nephew recently turned six!  Such fun at his bug-themed birthday bash!  To be a kid, and have the anticipation of that first bite of cake be too much to handle!

Laziest Cat Ever!

He's so tired from sleeping all day!

Rockin' The Do!

Got a haircut Sunday night!  My buddy showed off his awesome design skills, but I decided to go with the Mohawk instead.  He definitely did an awesome job!  Love it!

Cover?

Found this on the official website of the revival.  It appears to be the cover art of the upcoming cast recording.  Decisions like cover art can change in the blink of an eye, but this looks good to me!

Concert In Brooklyn!

Months of speculation can finally be confirmed.  Barbra will perform at The Barclay center in Brooklyn on October 11th!  Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 21st.  Pre-sale are available beginning May 12th!  This is huge!

Amazing!

Just received a message from Amazon regrettably informing me that the release of the CD of the revival of Evita had been indefinitely delayed.  I was very upset for a second, until I clicked the link for an alternative they offered.  Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a complete recording of the Broadway revival!  Can't even begin to explain how excited I am!  This is incredible!  Pre-ordered mine, and even spent the extra money to get it the day it's released!  Amazing!

Beautiful, Isn't It?

My friend Jasmine is visiting New York, and sent me this.  Beautiful, isn't it?  In less than three weeks, I'll be seeing it for myself!
