Earlier this week, GH top scribe Jean Passanante announced that she is retiring in August. While I haven't been the biggest fan of her work since joining the show, I don't think she, and co-head writer Shelley Altman get enough credit. I don't have the time right now to give specific examples, but they definitely weren't the worst team. With the sort-of-niceties out of the way, I will admit to screaming for their heads on several occasions. That said, rumored replacements have me quaking. Charles Pratt, Jr., and Megan McTavish, both of which I hate down to the core of my soul for the destruction they wrought on All My Children, are said to be in the running. Do you have any idea how positively terrifying that is?! I'm on the verge of throwing up just writing those last couple of sentences. Lord knows what's going to happen, but it's a very scary time in Port Charles.
