I DON'T LIKE THIS!

Steve Burton is returning. I have one question. Why? Fans have spent the last two and a half years getting accustomed to Billy Miller in the role. For what? Nothing? Now, I know what you're going to say. Calm down! Take a breath! There's no word yet on who he's playing. Need I remind you of The Real Greenlee fiasco? Why would Steve agree to come back, if not to reclaim his iconic role? What happens to Billy? Are we in for a Tale Of Two Todds redux? Honestly, I don't have faith that the current regime could pull it off. Not at all.

Let's continue with the problems, and speculation. With recent word of Rebecca Budig's exit, and the promise of more to come, what does this mean for the show? Why would you write off a character that you have spent the majority of the last year desperately trying to tie to the core? To pay for a ridiculously over-inflated salary, for a certain highly overrated actor? Makes the most sense to me. Disgusting.

Here's the kicker. It doesn't even sound long-term. In a recent interview, when asked about length of stay, Burton says that he'll be around for quite a while. Talk about noncommittal. We're expected to go through what is shaping up to be a seismic shakeup, with no sense of commitment? This is all absolutely ludicrous. The more I write, the angrier I get. Have to step away, before I throw my computer out the window.
