O-Town Concert At Foxwoods: April 17, 2026

That's right! Got to see my boys again! Still can't believe Eric came with me. We had a great day of shopping, good food, some gambling, and an awesome concert. Eric even begrudgingly admitted O-Town puts on a good show. You could have knocked me over with a feather when he said that. Such a wonderful day! Wish I had gotten to me them again, but refused to pay the ridiculous meet and greet price. Oh, well. Can't believe I almost forgot to mention that I turned  $25 free play into $78! So cool! Thank you, King Kong slot machine.

April 17th!

Had mentioned to Eric the other day that O-Town is coming to Foxwoods, and that I would love to go. Went back and forth for a little while before making a decision, but got the tickets! Going to be so much fun. Don't really care about the people on the bill with them, but can't wait to see my boys. Super excited to share this experience with my best friend. O-Town isn't normally a group Eric would listen to, but I genuinely think he is going to get swept up in the fun atmosphere, and have a good time. Will be the fifth time I've seen O-Town. Who knows, maybe I'll even get to meet them again. Going to be a great day trip with awesome food, fantastic company, a little gambling, some shopping, and a fun show to end the night. Can't come soon enough!

O-Town Concert: January 15, 2016

My first concert with them as a foursome. Originally had tickets for the concert the night before in Boston, but the idiots I was supposed to go with flaked last minute. Tim called me to check in, because he knew how excited I was. Told him what happened, we chatted for a little while, and I didn't think anything else of it. Next day, phone rings, Tim tells me to gas up the van because we're going adventuring. Long story short, we drove to New Hampshire to see O-Town. Such an awesome night. Great friend, great experience. Though, he did make fun of me several times for singing every word of every song. Was all in good fun. Tim acted miserable, but I know he secretly enjoyed it.

Unceremonious…

Not happy right now. If you read this blog, you're well aware that I've been working my way through the O-Town seasons of Making The Band on YouTube. Was enjoying the journey last night, and it just ended in the middle of shit. No proper ending, no goodbye, no series wrap up warning. Nothing. Have been suspicious for a while that the uploaded playlists don't include every episode. Don't recall the show just ending out of nowhere. Strange, and unfair. Think I might post something about it on O-Town's Facebook page, and see if I get a response. Don't know if it's just an oversight, accident, or there's copyright issues or something. Disappointed.

24!

Did a little Internet sleuthing last night to try to find the exact date I saw O-Town the first time. Didn't take long, and made me feel incredibly old. September 16, 2001. My friend surprised me with tickets a couple of days before, and we went to the Fleet Boston Pavilion. Didn't have front row seats, but wound up sitting front row center somehow. Wasn't going to argue. Don't remember much about the actual show, except teenage girls screaming so loud you couldn't even hear the boys. At one point O-Town literally stopped in the middle of a song and asked the audience to quiet a little because they couldn't even hear themselves. Insane! Was an awesome first concert. Seem to remember one of the guys throwing a sweaty towel at me, but can't think why I wouldn't have kept It. Would be something cool to have all these years later.

So Fast!

Can't believe it, but I'm already almost done with Making The Band. Went so fast. With the exception of you know who, it's been an absolute joy to watch. The growth and maturity I've seen of the boys throughout the seasons is monumental, and a great testament to hard work and dedication. Most impressive to me is the vocal evolution. Truly seem like a cohesive unit, whose vocals together, and individually, I would put up against any boyband today. Just to be clear, I hate using the term boyband. Gives me negative connotation vibes for some reason, and doesn't properly encompass the immense talent of this group. Just adore them beyond adoring.

O-Town Concert: December 8, 2019

That's right. Got to see my O-Town boys again the next year, in the same venue. How lucky am I?! Show was absolutely fantastic, as expected. Got to meet them again after the show, and it was even more special this time around. Why? They remembered who I was from previous shows, and were even sweeter. They each took a little extra time with me, and Erik even thanked me for knowing all the lyrics to their songs, because he had gone blank in the beginning of one, happened to see me singing, and remembered before it was too late. So awesome. Core memory.

Like last time, please forgive my ridiculous expressions. Just so happy.

O-Town Concert: July 1, 2018

Finally getting around to posting these. Found out O-Town were going to be performing at a venue right down the street from me, and had to be there. Bought VIP meet and greet tickets, and got to meet the guys after the show. Dan said that he heard I was his favorite, asked if he could give me a hug, and we chatted for a couple minutes. Jacob was surprised that I was actually there to see them, and thought I was dragged there by my PCA. Told him I was a day one fan, and he was very appreciative and humble. All of the guys were fantastic, gracious, and couldn't have been more wonderful. Unforgettable experience that I look back on with pure joy on a regular basis.

Hate that I look like a complete dork in these pictures, but I was absolutely awestruck and overwhelmed.

As It Should Be!

That's right, little bitch Ikaika is gone. Good riddance to smelly trash. Will never understand how he let his family determine his future, seemingly without any input. The amount of time, money, and effort spent on this doofus is astronomical. The rest of the band has every right to be pissed. What a monumental waste of space.

What's that I hear? Ah, yes! Angels singing. The remaining members of the band unanimously decide that there is only one choice to replace IDIOT. Dan Miller. Thank God. It's crazy to say, but all was immediately right in O-Town land when he showed up. Just slotted in like the perfect puzzle piece. Love the immediate dedication and seriousness he showed. Although I love them, some other members should take notice.

Anyway, I could go on for hours about the brilliance of Dan Miller, but will just say I'm happy that he's finally where he belongs.

Nostalgia With A Sprinkle Of PTSD!

ABC has officially uploaded the original Making The Band to YouTube, and I'm in absolute heaven… mostly. Everyone knows how much I adore O-Town, and reliving their journey has been quite the trip. One problem. Ikaika. Couldn't stand him first time around, and nothing has changed. From jump, he didn't take anything seriously, was incredibly disrespectful when someone had a different opinion, refused to dedicate himself to the group, and expected special treatment. Don't even get me started on the contract situation. Have found myself screaming at my TV in frustration at his antics on more than one occasion. So glad he took his ball and went home. Totally agree with Jacob when he said he wasn't comfortable putting the fate of his career in Ikaika's hands. I wouldn't be either. Will definitely cheer again when he exits.

Drama with that idiot aside, I'm having so much fun binging the original series again. Almost done with the first season. So excited to see everyone develop, and for Dan to take his rightful place. It's going to be a blast.

O-Town

I must admit, when I first entertained the idea of purchasing this album, I was extremely skeptical.  After all, it was universally panned by practically every respected music critic who listened to it.  Eventually, though, I gave in to my desire to own it and purchased it a couple of months after its release.  Saying that I was pleasantly surprised would be the biggest understatement of the year.

Not only did I find this album incredibly enjoyable to listen to, I found myself absolutely captivated.  Why?  Simple.  The sounds that were coming out of the headphones on my CD player were unlike any others I had heard before.  A unique blend of newcomer uncertainty and years of maturity and experience was an unexpectedly welcome treat.

All five members of the group have wonderful voices.  That said, Dan Miller is the most vocally polished.  All and all, they complement each other extremely well and preform as though they've been together for years.

Every song on this album is infectiously memorable.  An "A" in my book from start to finish.  As for the people who refer to O-Town as a prefabricated, talentless, Backstreet Boys rip-off, sit yourselves up straight and pay attention because you couldn't be more wrong.  Furthermore, I foresee a long, successful future for the group.  With this debut being as wonderful as it is, I absolutely can not wait for what is sure to be a blockbuster followup.

Love These Guys!

Love these guys!  In the beginning of the year, there were reports of a reunion, sans Ashley.  Was so pumped, but nothing ever came of them.  You can bet that, if O-Town ever gets back together, I'll be all about it!
