If I Were In Charge...

I have a confession to make. On a fairly regular basis, I find myself fantasizing about what it would be like to be running the ship at AMC. Without question, my first order of business would be to fire their horrible excuse for an executive producer, Julie Hanan Carruthers. Next to go, equally terrible casting director Judy Blye Wilson. Replacing Miss Carruthers and sharing executive producing duties would be Jordan and Ashley of The Pine Valley Podcast. Likewise, Tina of Daytime Confidential would assume the role previously held by Miss Wilson.

With the higher-ups taken care of, my attention would then move to trimming the oversized cast of unnecessary fat. Dre, Colby, Randi, Annie, Emma, and Ryan would leave PV ASAP. With that item on the check list ticked, work would immediately start on initiating the returns of several of AMC's favorite characters. Cady McClain and Julia Barr would be first on the list. Doing whatever necessary, I would make sure they knew how unjustly they were treated, how much their presence is needed, and deliver on promises of front-burner storylines.

The above things are just a few to do in order for All My Children to return to the top of the mountain. May Brian Frons promptly remove his head from his ass and take necessary and immediate action.

Tornado To Touch Down In PV...

Pine Valley residents run for cover! The natural disaster I hinted at yesterday has now been confirmed. Apparently, a tornado will ravage the quiet town just in time for November sweeps. With the confirmation of the deaths of two major characters, this event is sure to shake PV to its core. Wild speculation regarding the victims began almost immediately. I'll reserve judgment and comment until the identities become more clear. Will do my best to keep you up to date on the whether forecast in the coming weeks!

Rockin' The Do!

Was getting bored with it and needed a change. Have been wanting to dye for a long time. Isn't quite the color I was going for, but is good enough for now. What do you think?

Ever Happen To You?

Ever Happen To You?

So, the other night, I'm laying in my bed somewhere between two worlds. I had just spent what I believe to be an hour dreaming about the wonder that is ECW and fantasizing about what an amazing career choice wrestling must be. Right before I was about to enter the ring to compete in my first contest, I was unceremoniously awakened by the horrible scream of a frightened cat. After the couple of seconds it took to reclaim my wits, I glanced around the room wondering what hellish fate had befallen my precious feline. It took me but a minute to realize that all the unnecessary behavior was over a plastic ball with a bell inside apparently just out of reach. Now, fully awake, I was upset over this utter nonsense.

Unable to reclaim the glory that is sleep, I lay wide-eyed wondering how emotions could change so quickly. While other thoughts along those lines swirled themselves around in my head like a giant tornado, a specific one kept recurring. What would happen if my dreams of professional wrestling success were to suddenly come true? How would life change? Would it change at all? Think of the most sensational dream you've ever had and how it coming true might affect you.

What if everything you've ever known was turned on its head with the quickness of a hiccup?

What seemed like an eternity passed before sleep came calling again. The next morning came without interruption. Throughout the day, I found myself thinking of the self-therapy session of the night before. Again, my mind was overcome by more questions then answers. However, there was one thing that seemed crystal clear through the fog. We are in charge of our destiny and can make life whatever we wish it to be. Dreams, no matter how small, outlandish, or seemingly insignificant, must be followed through to conclusion. The events and questions of that night forced me to reevaluate my life and it's dreams. I hope this little story helps whoever reads it do the same.

Charles Pratt Jr. AMC's Savior?

Okay, people, so Charles Pratt's writing made its much talked about debut on All My Children yesterday. Were there any notable changes this quickly? Well, in my opinion, it's definitely too soon to tell. Although, I must say, the dialogue seemed a little tighter. I hope that wasn't just me desperate to see improvement.

We've gotten lots of tidbits from Mr. Pratt himself and other sources about his vision for the show. From what I've read and heard, things look to be quite promising. Turning Fusion Cosmetics into a real business, bringing Adam and Erica back front burner, giving Carmen permanent residents in Pine Valley, a natural disaster with far-reaching ramifications, and the return of uber-evil Dr. David Hayward are only a few of the things said to be coming.

Unfortunately, many people are not as enthusiastic about the changeover as I am. Apparently, when it comes to Charles Pratt Jr., there are two camps. The first of which avidly praises his work and cites his involvement with hit shows like Ugly Betty, General Hospital, and Santa Barbara as a great sign. The other, however, has a vastly different take. Loyal fans of Santa Barbara swear that its fall from grace started immediately after he assumed head-writing duties. Similarly, the General Hospital fanbase blames him for the much-reviled mob element he helped introduce. Being unfamiliar with the previous work in his daytime portfolio, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Will he help my beloved show return to its former glory or sink it to new depths? My choice would be the first... but only time will tell.

Happy Anniversary, Between The Ropes!

For those unaware, Between The Ropes is a radio show dedicated to professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. It was a complete accident, me finding them, but was definitely love at first listen. Host, Fritz, Dickerman and Vito have a vast, extensive knowledge of the subjects of which they speak. Listeners are not only privy to breaking news and insider information, but also have access to great, in-depth interviews from stars of both worlds. If that weren't enough, becoming a member of betweentheropes.com affords one complete access to ten years worth of shows and interviews. Being a member myself, I can tell you that it is more than worth the cost. The show officially celebrated ten years on the air last night and I'd like to wish them ten more!

Zelda

This is my adorable cat, Zelda. I've had her for almost a year and have enjoyed every second. One of my absolute favorite things to do is take pictures of her and post them on the web to share. The gallery can be found here. Hope you enjoy! Will post updates when additions are made.

Thanks, Sis!

Just a quick post to thank my amazing sister for helping me come up with the title for my blog. It's one of the most awesome I've heard in quite some time. For anyone whose curious, her wonderful blog can be found by clicking the My Crafty Mess link on the right side of the page. It's definitely worth a look.

Undeniable

Undeniable

Eyes half closed, I stare at your heavenly face through a vale of stinging tears. While my mind searches for the perfect words to convey this incredible boiling cauldron of emotion, I slowly begin to realize that the best ones to use are those unspoken. To question life is to be human.

Since my first unmistakable encounter with the back of your head, I knew the stars of heaven had spelled out FOREVER. Though I truly believe it is not of us to know the details of the plan that The Lord above has for us, I knew from the day my life began that I was living for and because of You. Never have I been more sure of something.

You make my life complete. The way your unshaven chin feels on my bare shoulder as we embrace, I feel every unsure breath you take before the words I LOVE YOU finally leave your lips and begin their undying quest to find a home in my soul. Every heartbeat of my existence has been shown to you in the purest light.

Though it is certain that our lives will take many different paths, you will never be but a heart's whisper away. Life is a test and we were chosen to walk together AS ONE. I will be there through every triumph and tragedy. There will be wives, children, lovers, and, life to live... SEPARATE AND TOGETHER.

Though my dreams and aspirations are many and will be followed through to whatever conclusion they may, with you by my side, everything will taste of victory. Go now knowing that soulmates are once in eternity and you are mine. If it's God's will, who am I to do anything but comply?

REST WELL KNOWING THAT YOU TAUGHT MY HEART EVERYTHING IT KNOWS TO BE TRUE.

A Bittersweet Beginning...

Five years ago, I found myself in desperate need of a creative outlet. At the time, I had a summer job teaching people how to use the internet to create websites. I decided to try it myself one day and Things I Love The Most was born. For much of the first three years of its existence, I dedicated the majority of my downtime to obsessively perfecting it. Everything that made up the unique me could be found there explored in great detail. As time passed, I realized that my interest in the site and maintaining it had waned greatly. The inability to accomplish what I wanted due to the lack of innovative tools, the generic feel it came to have, and rising cost were all contributing factors. So, earlier this afternoon, with a heavy heart, I came to the difficult decision to discontinue the site and embark on a new adventure with all of you. I will always remember Things I Love The Most and all the endless hours of entertainment and stimulation it provided me fondly. With any luck, my creative juices will flow just as freely on the blog. Here's hoping!
