You're FIRED!

Where to begin? First comes the news that General Hospital's highly controversial top scribe, Robert Guza, has been relieved of his duties. While I don't have a history with the show, I'm very excited. For the short time that I did watch, the central focus of mob activity made it tough to enjoy. Hopefully, Garin Wolf will refocus the show around vets, provide much-needed balance, and get back to the basics of character-driven storytelling. I think I'm going to tune back in when his material starts airing.

A big congratulations to fans of Days Of Our Lives! Expert hack Dena Higley has finally been shown the door. I was starting to wonder how far the ratings would have to fall before something was done. DOOL continues to defy the odds. I won't be watching, but have high hope that ratings and quality improve. Anytime a daytime drama takes a step in a positive direction, I'm there cheering it on. I hope that these two firings are a sign of renewed faith and commitment on behalf of the people in charge.
