Scumbags!

This isn't going to be a long post. I just have to vent. Eva and Tomas are absolute trash. They have been dancing around each other for months, and finally gave in. So gross! If you don't want to be with someone, have the decency to be honest. Why is that so hard? I think disgusting Tomas loved the idea of being with sisters. Absolutely putrid.

Oh, and Eva better not even try playing the "I'm sorry" card. She knew exactly what she was doing from the time she asked that idiot to help her move. If you're going to be a calculating bitch, stand in your truth, and own it.

I feel so bad for Kat. Makes her way over to see Eva, and extend the olive purse, just to see her reprehensible boyfriend getting out of the shower. So sad. I truly believe Kat wanted to put the past aside, and see if her and Eva could find their way forward. After what she saw, if I were her, I would do everything in my power to set fire to both Eva and Tomas' lives. Would make it my only mission in life.

Erica and Dimitri! Those who have read this blog, or know me at all, are well aware of my love for this legendary supecouple. As a kid, I was absolutely entranced by the majesty of the gorgeous Hungarian Count, and the ever-alluring diva. Their romance was like nothing I've experienced before or since. The Gothic intrigue of Wildwind, the high-stakes game of corporate espionage and failed takeovers, pregnancy, miscarriage, cheating, and incredible location shoots. These two have an unbreakable bond for the ages, and, although it may be futile, I will always hope for a reunion.

Observations…

Working my way through early '01 AMC. I love it, but here are a couple of things I'm noticing.

Dixie is so incredibly stupid. How can she not see that David is manipulating her every move? Maybe she does, and doesn't want to admit it to herself? I truly don't believe she's that smart. Every single time someone tries to point out how evil David is, even when they have proof, she turns a willing blind eye. It's putrid. I don't remember what finally wakes her up, but I'm very excited to see that moment.

Ryan and Gillian are absolutely adorable. I googled to see when Esta leaves, and it's relatively soon. Have a feeling my heart is going to shatter all over again. Oh, God. I just remembered, once Gillian dies, the never ending back and forth of Ryan and Greenlee starts. I think I might be sick. Better enjoy every second of this I can. That is a rollercoaster I am definitely not looking forward to boarding again.

I was going to talk about this in a separate post, but may as well do it here. I absolutely hate J. Eddie Peck as Jake. How someone can oscillate between robotic and wooden is absolutely beyond me, but quite the accomplishment. 90% of the time, there's absolutely no emotion coming through his performances, and the other 10% everything is forced. It's almost physically painful to watch. To think, if I continue chronologically, I have another two years of this torture. Don't know if I can take it. Send me positive vibes and good luck wishes.

Laura/Greenlee/Leo is getting a little tiresome. Seems Laura has a similar problem to Dixie. Why can't she see what's right in front of her face? It's obvious to everyone in the universe that Leo and Greenlee belong together. Just cut your losses, girl. You'll be better off for it.

Signing off for now…

I figured it out fairly early on, but the story is still fantastic. Good narration.

I Now Pronounce You…

So, Dani and Andre are married. Have to say, I don't hate it. The "ceremony" was adorable, and the fact that an Anita look-alike performed the nuptials is great. I see quite a bit of storyline potential here. Just hope they don't wake up and instantly regret their drunken decision. It's going to be delicious fun watching the rest of the Dupree family absolutely lose their collective shit; not to mention Bill and Ashley. The one thing I absolutely do not want is a pregnancy. Let D&A own their choices, and be happy for a while, sans serious complications. Totally on board with this, and intrigued to see where it goes.

Camping!

While I spent the day in Boston with Eric, my sister and her family were kind enough to watch Oliver for the night. You can tell by the look on his face that he was surprised to learn that this was to be his first camping trip. Doesn't he look positively thrilled?!

It's A Tie…

Trisha Mann-Grant as Leslie on Beyond The Gates, and Steve Burton as Jason on General Hospital.

First, Leslie. The scene in which Anita was sharing memories of Barbara with Leslie is fantastic. Trisha brought a level of vulnerability and softness to Leslie that the audience doesn't usually get to see. The childlike, endearing quality on display as Leslie sat rapt with the information Anita was sharing is incredibly refreshing. Trisha can do no wrong in my book no matter what, but it's nice to see layers.

Jason! Jason! Jason! Steve Burton absolutely destroyed me when Jason told Tracy that Monica passed away. The way Steve has the ability to make his eyes well with tears, before they fall at the exact right moment is beautiful. Quiet contemplation, and intense reflection is just what was needed. Every emotion was on display effortlessly. Just so natural.

Total bravo to both!

Can't Believe!

Going through my old posts recently, and realized I never shared my second time seeing Barbra live. I remember hearing she was going to be coming around a second time, and thinking I wasn't interested in going. Didn't want to risk not enjoying it as much, or being disappointed with her live vocals, as it had been ten years. Made peace with my decision, until practically everyone I knew told me that I would regret it if I didn't take this incredibly rare opportunity. Thank God I did! What an amazing, unforgettable experience. Vocals were wonderful, for the most part, song selection was good, and my friend that came with me really enjoyed the concert. Don't think it gets much better than that. Looking back, I don't know how I actually considered not going. Crazy!

BMFA: September 12, 2025

Went to the Boston Museum Of Fine Arts recently, with my best friend Eric, and here are a few pictures. Such a wonderful time.

PS You will be hearing a lot more about Eric in future posts.

PPS Some of the pictures are out of order, but every time I tried to rearrange them, they disappeared. Had to redo this post three times.

Pathetic Delusion…

What is it with the women of Fairmont Crest? Haley is so insecure that she has to fake a pregnancy. That doesn't do anything to divert Bill's attention from Dani, so she follows it up with a fake miscarriage. Again, no dice. Now she tries roping Tomas into her schemes? Get a grip, girl. How much more of a clue do you need. No matter how hard you try, you'll never compare to the OG.

Ashley might be even worse. She breaks up with Derek to chase after Andre. She then gets aggravated with Andre because Dani is scratching that itch just right. Derek gets in an accident, and Ashley thinks she has to be the gallant maiden in nursing scrubs, and rushes to his side. How to make him feel better? Oh yes, propose a marriage that you made abundantly clear you don't want. Perfect solution.

Kat and Eva are just plain pathetic. Both smart, beautiful women, why do they continue to fight over Tomas, who isn't even interesting enough to hold a regular conversation with? Eva and Kat are only sniffing around him to make sure the other doesn't get their claws in. Talking directly to Kat, why would you want to be with someone who can't even get you wet? Come on, ladies. You both deserve better. Get with it.

I was going to do a whole paragraph on Leslie, but that crazy is way too much to unpack right now.

So F*cking Conflicted!

Are you FUCKING serious right now?! This has to be some sort of sick joke! I feel like I'm losing my mind!

International streaming service and content provider BEONDTV+ has just announced that a has required the rights to All My Children, and will start streaming episodes today. Great news, right? Not so much if you're a fan living in the US! Apparently, it's not available here. After years of an emotional rollercoaster, my heart show gets an official release, and I can't watch?! To say that I am beyond devastated doesn't even begin to scratch the surface of what I'm feeling. This is just outright cruel. Literally close to tears dictating this. I just don't even know.

If I step outside myself and look at this objectively, it's obviously fantastic news. If it's a success overseas, there's a possibility that the greedy bastards at ABC will see dollar signs and jump onboard. Here's hoping. If there's any official news, or hope of any kind, I will keep everyone updated. This is just insane. Can't even think straight.

Tomorrow!

Ryan Paevey brings Nathan back tomorrow! I'm so conflicted. I remember liking the character first time round, but don't see the point of another return from the dead. I know the writers are trying to rebuild Britt's family, but I just don't think it's entirely necessary. Where exactly is he going to fit in? With Maxie temporarily off canvas, is he getting a new love interest? It seems quite obvious to me that as soon as she's back, there is going to be a Nathan/Maxie/Spinelli triangle. Perfectly predictable, perfectly soapy. I will say, I'm excited for James to get to know his father, and to see where that road leads. Willing to give the storyline a decent chance before I dismiss it completely. Hope something creative and entertaining is in store, without any more Lazarus-esque elements.

Fabulous Francis!

This one is a throwback. Been watching old episodes of All My Children, and came across the one where Ceara finally confronts her father after remembering the abuse she suffered at his hands as a child. Genie Francis is an absolute fireball powerhouse. Every emotion is present, believable, and comes through the screen with an undeniable force. I may have just seen these for the first time, but won't soon forget them, if ever. I will never understand how Genie did not win an Emmy for these scenes. Inexcusable, if you ask me.

Feeling The Love!

Just wanted to hop on really quick to say thank you. Checked my stats, and I have over 1,000 page views in the last month. This is fantastic! So good to be back, have a creative outlet again, and feel the support. Extremely grateful. Who knows what we could do on this new leg of the journey. Thanks for coming along with me, I hope you stick around, and maybe we can even grow this a little bit.

Don't Know What To Think…

Okay, so, for everyone who doesn't know, there has been a hugely successful revival of Evita in London this summer. As a matter of fact, it just closed. For weeks On end, there have been teases of a complete cast recording, from multiple sources. Andrew Lloyd Webber all but confirmed this in a relatively recent interview. Well, I was doing some sleuthing the other day, and came upon some aggravating news. Apparently, we are not getting a full recording after all. For some ridiculously stupid reason, only a highlights recording is being released. Why? It just doesn't make sense. If this production was truly as ground and record-breaking as is being reported, why not fully capitalize on the success? I know I'm just kind of ranting, but it's incredibly frustrating. We've waited all these years for a major revival, and its only getting memorialized with 10 tracks? So dumb. Anyway, that's how I feel.

Welcome to Fairmont Crest!

For those unaware, CBS debuted the first new daytime drama in over 25 years on February 24th. This probably goes without saying, but I was hooked on Beyond The Gates immediately. Smart, witty, educated, realistic writing, gorgeous, expansive sets, and a fantastic, talented company of actors drew me in before I even knew what was happening. I had every intention of covering the show from jump, but time kept slipping away. Correcting that as of this post. Will be writing about the goings on in Fairmont Crest on a regular basis. Can't wait to share my thoughts and opinions on these crazy residents, and even crazier situations.

Finally!

I know this post is coming out of nowhere, but I just have to share my excitement. Watched the General Hospital weekly preview, and am absolutely thrilled to see someone finally put a bullet in Drew. He's been terrorizing Port Charles sans consequences for months, and I honestly didn't know how much more I could take. Villains are absolutely necessary, and Cameron Mathison is doing the work of his career, but a little comeuppance are definitely due.

If I were writing, the culprit would be Portia. If anyone deserves revenge, it's her. Seemingly endless blackmail, and threats to family and safety would be enough to drive anyone to the point of no return. Let me just get this out of the way. The obvious next choice is Willow, but I think she's too expected to be compelling. Everyone in PC has reasons to want Drew six feet under, so it will be extremely interesting to watch everything play out.

I have been blogging again these last few days, and I have to say, it feels amazing to be back. I don't know how many people are going to see my posts, or be interested in anything I share, but, it's a good creative outlet, and it's making me happy.

Newest!

These are the latest additions to my growing AMC collection. Can't believe I found the Enchantment perfume brand new! Have had the boardgame for a while. So cool! Just need a few more things, and my collection will be complete.

My Favorite!

Of all the logos through the years, this is definitely my favorite. Just seeing it brings back so many wonderful memories.

WHY?!

So, I have been watching old episodes of All My Children lately, and realized that I'm still so upset over everything. First of all, the whole Prospect Park situation still makes me sick. How cowardly is it to disappear without explanation, leaving everyone involved in the lurch? I seriously don't understand. Disgusting. Enough about PP. They don't deserve anymore thought.

Next, we wait years for ABC to regain the rights to AMC, and absolutely nothing substantial is ever done. Sure, every couple years, there are rumors of a primetime series, or holiday movies, sometimes even with heavyhitters attached, and nothing materializes. There's absolutely no reason for this. Just pure laziness.
I can almost guarantee that a DVD release of the greatest couples, the best of Erica Kane, or complete specific story arcs would be incredibly profitable, and would lead to increased interest.

Also, now that nothing is preventing it, why are we not seeing our favorite Pine Valley residents pop up in Port Charles occasionally? Yes, yes. I know. I know. Jackson Montgomery did a drive-by last year, and was written completely out of character. Not good enough! General hospital is always shortstaffed. Paging Dr. David Hayward and Dr. Maria Santos! Come on, ABC TPTB! It's not that hard! Seriously! Erica and Enchantment are mentioned fairly regularly, but it's for nothing more than comedy. Unacceptable. Reach out to Susan Lucci and propose a guest stint. Such a novel thought, and I have no doubt fans would absolutely lose their minds.

If anyone at ABC reads this, feel free to use any of the ideas above. You don't even have to give me credit. So simple!
