Prospect Park's online version of All My Children premiered four years ago today. Cannot believe it's been that long already. For the past week, Facebook has been showing me old posts I made leading up to the big day, with my favorite memories of the original incarnation. Truthfully, it's been kind of hard to relive. I was alive with barely contained excitement imagining the possibilities that this new era of my favorite show might bring. You all know how it turned out, so I won't bore you with a long, sad retrospective. Just so sad that such amazing potential was ill-prepared for, and thus needlessly squandered.
Though the Netflix rumors shined a brief light of hope earlier this year, nothing ever materialized. With the more time that passes, it's devastating to say, but I don't think we'll ever see more than the briefest glimpse of Pine Valley, or our friends who live there again. There's always hope, however, and I will forever continue to hold out.
