Jam packed with inside information about one of the most influential years in the history of professional wrestling. Even an avid fan like me can learn a few things. A bit long, but worth every second.

Reunion!

Just a quick note for those interested. Susan Lucci will be co-hosting Home & Family on The Hallmark Channel all next week. Normally, I wouldn't really care. When I saw the description for Thursday, however, I couldn't hold back a scream. The entire episode is going to be an All My Children reunion! Stars throughout the entire history of the iconic show will join Lucci to share memories and stories. So awesome! Cannot wait! I'm counting the hours!

I Tried…

I heard a lot about Sally Sussman over the years, so when she returned to The Young And The Restless as head writer in December, I decided to give it a look. I have been really enjoying it, but something is still holding me back from becoming completely invested. Can't quite put my finger on it, but I've decided to leave Genoa City. Could be many things I suppose. With daytime drama in its current state, is it really worth the amount of time it would take to learn character histories? Let's face it, I'm already four decades behind. Constant worry of cancellation is just too much to take. On top of that, as much as I like what I see, I wasn't immediately sucked in. It only took me one or two episodes to become completely obsessed with Passions, Port Charles, and Another World. I'm just not connecting with Y&R. That's not to say I won't visit occasionally. Just don't see myself taking up permanent residence.

YAY!

NBC has renewed my favorite new show, This Is Us, for two more seasons! Such awesome news! This show has everything anyone could possibly want. The writing is incredible. Acting is realistic and powerful. Humor arrives exactly when needed. Pacing is on-point. Intricate storytelling. Absolutely everything. I couldn't be more thrilled!

If Anyone Can Do It…

Daytime Confidential is reporting that Ron Carlivati has been tapped to take over head writing duties at Days Of Our Lives. With the show on the brink of cancellation, I can't think of anyone better to turn fortunes around. I absolutely love Ron. His respect of history, and innate understanding of the genre got me hooked on the two dramas at which he previously held this position. No word yet on when his material will make air. With Days insane taping schedule, I would imagine it will be quite a while. I'm going keep an eye peeled for details, and will post them here with thoughts and analysis when they become available. Haven't liked the idea of adding another show to my schedule, but wouldn't miss this for anything! I think the vultures eyeing Days timeslot would be better served circling another meal.

Awesome!

Recently turned my home office into my wrestling memorabilia room. Love the idea of displaying the action figures on the wall. Have had Doink since around 1995, and even got it autographed. Sunny joined about a year ago, when Tim brought her home from Vegas.

Good Day!

Oliver would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. After a long day of raising hell and eating peanut butter ice cream, he cuddled up with his favorite buddy for some TV time.

Hope???

Saw this while scrolling through Facebook, and am kind of intrigued…
It sounds good, but I will never trust an executive at ABC. It would be nice if something eventually worked out. We shall see where it all goes, I guess.

Crazy!

Have been looking back on old posts lately, and it's crazy to see how much my opinions have changed. Reading old wrestling entries has been almost embarrassing. I guess it really is true. People grow and mature as time passes. You truly never stop learning. It's good to look back on for a laugh, though.

Captured Shadows

I love the two main characters, but there are parts of this story that made me uncomfortable. I don't understand why there always seems to have to be a woman to cause some sort of it angst two men. I'm a little more forgiving of the circumstances here, but still find it entirely unnecessary.

Girl Meets…Cancellation!

So sad to learn of the cancellation of Girl Meets World. Have been watching from the beginning, and love it so much. Had to check it out, because the original series is one of my all-time favorite shows. Fell in love immediately. I think part of the reason I'm so sad is because you don't see shows like this today. Heart, morals, and life lessons are|a rarity on TV today. Would definitely be nice if that wasn't the case someday. Will always have a special place in my heart for the Mathews family, and hope this goodbye isn't forever.

The information within is presented well, but there isn't much new here for those familiar with the events. Still, it's well written, and painstakingly researched. Good read.

Unbelievable!

Went to an XWA show late last year, and got to meet Cody Rhodes, and Tommaso Ciampa. Was so awesome! Tim and I even got to hang out with them after the matches. It was amazing.

Happy Birthday!

Cannot believe this little guy is two today! Seems like I saw this picture just yesterday. There is no way to properly express how much I love him, or how much he has improved my life. I hope he lives forever! Happy Birthday, Oliver Spike!

Jason isn't one of my favorite characters in the series, but this book did make me sympathize with him a little more. Enjoyable.

Jace was the focus of this installment, so obviously I loved it. Was so nice to share a quick glimpse into his early life. Always enjoy when focus becomes sharper. Have to appreciate that the coming out process wasn't arduous and tedious. Love that he accepted himself without much fuss. Somehow, I always knew he would. Great story!

Hallelujah!

Even though this news will be ancient by the time this is posted, I would like to take a second to say how incredibly happy I am that ABC has officially regained the rights to All My Children, and One Life To Live! It's so good to know that these iconic shows have been freed from Prospect Park's evil clutches, and are back home where they belong. While there is always hope, I don't have delusions of either show being resurrected on a full-time basis. That said, it's really nice to know the characters and histories of these amazing franchises may pop up from time to time in other ways. Wouldn't it be wonderful to hear Pine Valley or Llanview mentioned on General Hospital? I think so. Now that I think about it, the possibilities are endless! Kind of exciting…

Resolution?

Okay, I know I've been gone for a long time. I'm sorry. I just had a lot going on. With the new year, I'm going to do my best to get back to posting. I really do enjoy it. I won't call it a resolution, because that puts unnecessary pressure on me. You have my word, though. You're definitely going to hear much more from me in 2017.
