Christmas hasn't been the same this year.  Every year, as the holiday approaches, I wait impatiently for this delicious treat to appear on the shelves.  For some reason, I haven't been able to find them anywhere.  Needless to say, as they're an obsession, I've been extremely upset.  Stephanie to the rescue again!  She found them at Walmart yesterday, and brought me a couple bags.  My holiday spirit was instantly lifted!  Now that I know they still exist, I will be stocking up, as always!  Thank God for Christmas miracles!

Big News!

Couple of really big news items on the Streisand front today.  First, Partners has been nominated for the Best Traditional Pop Album Grammy Award!  Amazing to see this legendary artist recognized for this great work!  Last, but certainly not least in any way, Partners has just gone platinum in Australia!  Just so awesome!  I knew this album was going to be huge the first time I heard the leaked tracks.  So proud to call myself a fan!

After almost twenty years of wishing and wanting, I finally have Barbra's autograph!  A little over a week ago, Shanon started saying how amazing the Christmas gift she got for me was. She dropped little hints here and there, but I couldn't connect the dots.  Too excited to wait, she brought it last night.  I honestly don't even know how I'm dictating this post, as I haven't picked my jaw off of the floor yet.  See for yourselves!  To thank someone for such an incredible gift seems inadequate, but I'd like to do that one more time.  Thank you, Shanon!  You'll never know what it means to me.

Brady and Theresa better watch their backs!  Eileen Davidson is returning to Salem as Kristen DiMera in spring 2015!  Will she return with a baby?  Ready to give birth?  I know it'll probably be a long road back, but I hope she and Brady find one another again.  On the flip, I can't wait for her to get got for stealing Theresa's little bun.  I have the utmost faith in Eileen and Kristen to entertain me no matter what!  It's going to be awesome!

Casting shakeups continue!  John J. York, and Marc Anthony Samuel have been bumped down to recurring.  Truth told, I wouldn't lose sleep if I never saw Felix again.  Hasn't done much since the threesome storyline, and was never developed in any meaningful way.  We'll catch glimpses occasionally, but chances of something interesting happening are probably slim.  Samuel is a decent actor, but his one-dimensional character never really sparked my interest.

I love Mr. York and Mac!  The love that he and Felicia share is sentimental, and sweet.  Great to see a character stick to their guns, stand up for what they believe, and always stay loyal to family and friends.  I hope he remains a somewhat constant presence in Port Charles.

All right, confession time.  Thought each of these gentlemen was already recurring.  If you're worried, remember this.  A good chunk of the cast isn't under contract anyway.  In most cases, each character gets a fair amount of screen time.  Ron and Frank are masters of short, compelling story arcs.  Just because an actor or actress gets downgraded, doesn't mean their going away.

Read the above disclaimer shown before certain shows on WWE Network, and see if you can figure out why I lost my mind in anger the first time I saw it.  ACTORS?  What?!  SERIOUSLY?!  How disgustingly disrespectful is this?  Professional wrestlers (yeah, I said it!) are athletes!  I can't imagine that the independent contractors (there I go again) that have dedicated their lives to perfecting their craft like being referred to this way.  If I were in the back preparing to ruin my body in a match, and saw this, I think I'd quit!  Was Edge acting when he had his career cut short for fear of permanent paralysis?  Is it all fun and games for Mick Foley when his wife has to tie his shoes in the morning because he can't bend down and do it on his own?  What about the countless other wrestlers who suffer early onset dementia, or other cognitive issues because of a lifetime of abuse to the neck and head?  Ask Chris Benoit's family if it's all make believe!  It is beyond reprehensible that WWE's head is so far up it's corporate ass that this be deemed acceptable!  Own, and be proud of what you are!

Update!

Just a quick update!  Kelly Thiebaud has agreed to remain at GH, in recurring capacity.  I'm very happy Britt will be around for a little while longer, but don't expect it to last.  Looking at previous credits, Kelly should have no problem finding other work.

Ins And Outs...

No more Britt?  It would appear that contract negotiations have hit a snag, and Kelly Thiebaud is out.  No official word as to the role being recast, but I don't think it likely.  I'll definitely be sad to see her go, but it's also been very disappointing seeing Britt relegated to storylines centering around children.  If this is the end of the line for the character, how will she be written out?  It makes sense to me to have all her deception come to light, and have her leave town or go to prison.  This being GH though, she'll probably wind up dead because of a rogue poison needle, or some such ridiculousness.

In happier news, it looks like Brandon Borash and Johnny are going to stir up trouble for a little while.  I'm happy about this, and hope the story arc has some meat to it.  Hope it doesn't revolve around prison.  Unless, of course, Sonny is made to pay for his crimes, and becomes Johnny's bitch!  Would be nice to see a Z get one up.  If I were writing, it would involve a return to the free world, and a triangle with Dante and LuLu.  Anything to spice up that relationship.  Maybe Maxie could even stick her nose somewhere?  Would be interested to see if the real-life couple can bring the chemistry to my TV.
