I hate contradictions! Remember when the number of episodes of All My Children and One Life To Live were cut to two weekly? Prospect Park said the reason behind that decision was so that viewers did not have to binge, and weren't overwhelmed. The people in charge sure don't get the concept of seeing something through. In a press release yesterday, PP announced that, beginning July 1st, episodes of both shows will be released in one shot every Monday. Their reason? So that viewers will be given the opportunity to watch them all at once, if they so choose. Wait a minute! This makes absolutely no sense! These idiots don't know which way is up! If this were going to be the case anyway, why cut the number of episodes down? Ridiculous!
Another thing. I don't understand how people continue to defend these fools! Yes, with a new venture, comes inevitable grooming pains. To be expected. My problem is that there seems to be absolutely no clear plan or direction. How can you tell if something is working when you don't give it time to catch on? Instant gratification is not an option here. It worries me that panic and anxiety appear to be the main factors in decision making. Shouldn't there have been a long-term plan in place? Goals set, to be reached within a certain time frame? Those two elements should have been among the first on the agenda to be hammered out. How is it so obvious to everyone, except them?
Here's a great idea. PP's next project should be a drama about the drama going on behind the scenes of these two shows!
