Don't Let The Door...

No shock here.  Lindsey Morgan is leaving.  Truth time.  Haven't really seen the point of Kristina since she took over the role anyway.  Honesty alert.  It's very likely that her inability to act contributed greatly.  As you can probably tell by the last two sentences, I'm not sad to see actress or character depart.  I do think Kristina could be a viable part of the canvas down the line, but it would require a perfect actress/storyline combination.

Quote Of The Moment...

"We are not defined by the challenges in our lives, but by how we face them."
-Oprah Winfrey

Seriously?

We all know that Wrestlemania is the biggest show of year.  Hell, WWE spends eleven months telling us so.  Even casual fans can't resist the lure of the bright lights.  Over the years, the price of this mega-event has slowly increased.  In an effort to make it feel worth the while, a fourth hour was added.  That was enough justification for me, and I happily shelled out the extra dough.  This year, the latest hike brings cost to a staggering $70!  I don't understand this.  The McMahon family are certifiable billionaires, and have built a nearly impenetrable dynasty.  Why the need for greed?  It just doesn't make sense.  I truly thought I'd always get Wrestlemania, no matter the pricepoint, but I think $70 is just about reaching the end of my comfort zone.  If it gets any higher, The Showcase Of The Immortals will have to march on without me.

New!

Conflicting emotions reporting this news.  Unfortunately, a deal between ABC and Prospect Park could not he agreed upon.  As a result, Michael Easton, Kristen Alderson, and Roger Howarth will be playing new characters when they return to Port Charles.  I'm ecstatic that the three of them will be back on my screen, but am pissed when I think about the amount of time wasted becoming emotionally invested in the original characters.  While it definitely sucks, I have no doubt that Ron and Frank will work their magic.

All Smiles!

Quote Of The Moment...

"Answers are funny things.  They don't like to be found easily, and very rarely satisfy the person searching for them."
-The Wizard Of Oz

Danger!

In one of the stupidest moves in years, WWE has hired David Kreizman as a head writer in their creative department.  I take it back.  The move isn't stupid, it's downright dangerous.  Why am I forecasting doom and gloom?  On Mr. Kreizman's watch, three legendary daytime dramas, Guiding Light, As The World Turns, and, All My Children, were brought to the brink of cancellation.  I'm terrified.  While I love many other forms of entertainment dearly, professional wrestling is the center of my world.  That WWE either didn't go through all the proper channels, and do a thorough check of employment history, or that they just don't care is scary.  Let's assume all proper channels were followed.  Why would you invite someone with such a bleak record to join your team?  To make matters worse, I hear that this killer has already been promoted!  This does not bode well for the future.  I pray that the mistake is recognized and rectified before irreputable harm is done.

June 6: Amsterdam, NL (Ziggo Dome)

Live!

Yesterday, I got tickets to see Ramin live!  Found out that he is going to be at Regatta Bar in Boston, and jumped at the chance!  So excited I can hardly stand it!

This is the new logo for our favorite show!  I like it very much, but miss the iconic photo album.

Yes!

All My Children and One Life To Live set to premiere online April 29th.  This is it folks, it's on.  So over the moon!

5...

In a recent interview, Julia Barr (Brooke) confirmed something I've been hearing off and on for a while now.  When AMC returns, it will be set five years in the future.  From what she says, the scripts are very well written, and appropriate amount of explanation regarding the fates of certain characters is given.  I was skeptical about the jump at first, but now that she's on board with it, I'm all in.  Very excited about the possibilities!

Ins And Outs...

That didn't take long at all.  Emme (formerly Marcy) Rylan will assume the recently vacated role of LuLu.  I love her, and think this is a great bit of casting.  No stranger to daytime, Rylan as had prominent roles on The Young And The Restless, and Guiding Light.  A first airdate has not been announced.

Ending on a sad note, Brandon Borash has decided to leave when his contract expires.  While I certainly wish him the best in all future endeavors, I'm sad.  He's one of my favorite actors on the show, and will be missed.  No indication yet whether Johnny is going to be recast.  I don't think he should.  Let his nefarious deeds catch up with him, and send him away.

Popping In!

Alicia Minshew is bringing Kendall back to PV.  As of this writing however, it's only for one episode.  While that might be disappointing to some, the sources who originally broke the news hint that she's in negotiations to return on a regular basis.  If it were me, I would wait to pen a return until a more substantial deal could be reached.  Don't see the point of a one off.

Adorable!

Big!

Daytime Confidential is reporting that Vanessa Marcil and Ingo Rademacher are returning in celebration of the 50th anniversary.  Very happy for longtime fans.  I'm sure for most, with these two additions, everything is as it should be.  Personally, with her last stint being my only association, I wasn't impressed with either Marcil, or Brenda.  Don't understand all the fuss.  Tolerate Ingo much better in the small doses that we see him.  My feelings aside, there's no doubt that the returns of Jax and Brenda are sure to heat things up.

RIP

William Moody, known to most wrestling fans as Paul Bearer, has passed away at age 58.  The character is an indelible part of my wrestling memories as a child, and they are fond.  Way too young to go.  Your contributions to the wrestling industry will be remembered forever.  Rest In Peace.

Blu-Rays!

April 2: Hello, Dolly!
April 30: Funny Girl
April 30: The Guilt Trip

Will definitely be getting the two April releases.  Hope Funny Girl is done justice!

So Happy!

My first picture with the littlest!

Hopeful...

Marlene McPherson has been tapped to tackle head writing duties.  While I'm mostly unfamiliar with her work, I have it on good authority that she's the right choice.  From the little I do know, Marlene appears to respect veterans and history.  Good combination.  I'm going to hope for the best, and will it into fruition.

So Fast...

Looks like he's on his way to a busy day at the office.

Twice In A Lifetime!

That's right, we're going to be forced to suffer through a rematch of one of the worst matches in Wrestlemania history.  If there's an upside, it's that Cena is probably going to beat The Rock.  Though, with The Great One already signed for Extreme Rules, we may have to wait a little longer for him to drop the strap.  So much for "once in a lifetime!"
