OUT!
Julie Marie Berman is leaving. Word is, LuLu will be recast. I'm a little sad to see her go, but am looking forward to a new take on the character. Wonder if someone will assume the part immediately, or if LuLu will be off screen for a period of time? Is going to be interesting to see the chemistry between Dominic and whomever lands the role.

More!
Ray MacDonnell will once again wear Joe Martin's stethoscope.
Denyse Tontz has been cast as Miranda.
Ryan Bittle is the new face of JR.
Eric Nelsen snags the role of a teenage AJ
Sal Stowers is Cassandra Foster
Two other roles have been cast, but are yet to be announced.
I'm going to ignore that there's only one familiar name on this list, and hope for the best.
In an unsettling piece of news, it looks as though veteran soap slayer Christopher Goutman has been tapped to direct AMC. Will lessons never be learned from past mistakes? The feeling of disquiet is back in the pit of my stomach.

For Pete's Sake!
Robert Scott Wilson has joined the cast of All My Children as Peter Cortlandt. The choice to reintroduce this character has the potential to be amazing. Last time he was around, though I joined Daniel Kennedy, everything was a disaster. Hopefully, whoever is writing, (because there still hasn't been an announcement), will see fit to take him in a more adult direction.
Side note: If logic prevails, Opal will be front and center. Would be great!

Long Time Coming!

News!
Ecstatic to be writing this! Eden Riegel is back as Bianca! According to sources, it's only short-term. From what I'm hearing, Bianca is returning to introduce a teenage Miranda to the canvas. So many possibilities! No matter how long she sticks around, it's a thrill to see Eden everytime!
This next news is huge! In a recent blog post on her website, Cady McClain confirms that our favorite show will eventually move to a cable outlet. From what she says, episodes will first air online, and be available on television after initial broadcast. I would imagine interest being peaked relative to internet success. No specifics were given, but this is awesome!

Supervision...
Sonia Blangiardo has been named Supervising Producer of All My Children. While I'm not exactly sure what the title entails, those in the know seem to be excited with the news. I'm assuming she'll have a hand in making everything run smoothly. Blangiardo is no stranger to this position. She has served as a director and/or producer on As The World Turns, General Hospital, One Life To Live, and AMC in the past.
Casting!
In my last AMC related post, I reported that there was a good chance Dixie would resurface on All My Children. Cady McClain has now confirmed this! YAY!
Sadly, though, we won't be seeing Tad in any hurry. Michael E. Knight said that while he wants to return, and almost definitely will at some point in the future, the timing isn't right at the moment. Wonder if that means Dixie'll be getting a new love interest?
As of this writing, Susan Lucci is set to make only a single appearance on the reboot. While I never thought I'd see Pine Valley without Erica Kane, I'm not as upset as I thought I'd be. To compensate for the whole, it's high priority to make sure Bianca and Kendall are prominent.
David Canary is reprising his Emmy-winning roles of Adam and Stuart Chandler! According to sources, he is going to be a regular! This is definitely the best casting news so far concerning the men of PV. So awesome!
Now, on to the best news when it comes to the opposite sex. Julia Barr is back as Brooke! From all accounts, she's also set to be a permanent fixture!
With legacy characters returning, it only makes sense that their children would to. Hope to hear more about the younger generation soon. Really like the picture I see as it's becoming more clear.

Dixie?
Though unconfirmed, Soaps In Depth is reporting that Cady McClain is set to reprise Dixie on All My Children. This is great news, if true. Hopefully, Michael E. Knight will bring Tad on back as well. Before cancellation, though never really explored, I loved the potential of a Tad/Cara/Dixie triangle. If he doesn't come to terms, I hope the idea of revisiting David and Dixie doesn't even occur to anyone. No interest in sitting through another round.

25th!
Debbi Morgan tweeted that All My Children will begin production on February 25th! This news is very welcome, as my fears and paranoia were starting to get the best of me. As excited as I am with the confirmation, lack of cast has me concerned. Come to think of it, I find it very strange that no official announcement has been made regarding writers. Can't imagine production kicking off unless all barnyard animals are in a row. I hope all is quiet because they're some big surprises in the works. Nothing worse than not knowing.

Home!
NEP Broadcasting, a large mobile production services company, is transforming an old factory in Connecticut into Llanview and Pine Valley. Apparently, the space came cheap, and there's plenty of room for both shows. Construction is said to be moving at a feverish pace, as the reboots begin production on February 25th. Glad to hear they're not sharing quarters with Jerry Springer, as originally thought.
