Broadway Revival Photos!

Tour!

Evita will tour the U.S. in the fall of next year!  Best part?  It opens in Providence!  With the success of the current Broadway revival, I imagine the tour production will be a mirror.  I don't care!  Am going to see it no matter what!  So excited!

Intrigued...

Was just listening to a conference call with Dixie Carter, and am very intrigued.  Impact is going live for the summer, and will also air an hour earlier beginning tonight.  Don't really care about that though.  What made my ears perk is all the talk of a new format.  I haven't watched TNA in a long time.  From what I hear though, the same stagnant product that made me tune out in the first place is still front and center.  Dixie is promising big change to walk hand-in-hand with the live experiment.  During the call, she kept eluding to pulling back the curtain even more.  Promising to let the viewer in on things like meetings between management and talent is groundbreaking.  Kind of scary, but enough to get me to check it out.  She also kept reiterating that "wrestling matters."  I hope she means this, and we see some major improvement between the ropes.  I didn't listen to the whole call, but what I heard was enough to get me to put TNA back on to my DVR schedule.  Honestly, because I've been let down so many times in the past, I don't have any hope at all for follow-through.  Who knows?  Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised...

Date Change..

My apologies for not posting this info earlier, but the release date of The New Broadway Cast Recording of Evita has been changed to June 26th.  It's unfortunate, but at least we only have to wait an extra week.

Official? Hopefully...

Just saw that Amazon has this as the cover image for the Broadway revival CD.  If it's listed on Amazon, it's probably pretty official.  My guess, it was changed in hopes that a picture of Ricky Martin would help sales.  Very smart move, but I like the original cover better.  The absence of the iconic logo is strangely unsettling.

Walk...

Last Saturday, Tracie and I decided to go for a walk downtown.  I had just gotten my new camera, and wanted to try it out.  Took some pictures of my favorite eats, and had a wonderful time enjoying the beautiful weather.  When we got back, I wanted a picture of us to remember the great evening.  Such a good time!

Change...

This shower curtain belonged to my mom, but I always wanted it.  She got a new one the other day, and was nice enough to give this one to me.  Looks so nice in my bathroom!  Thanks, mom!

Tradition!

Whenever someone in the family gets a new camera, my sister and I break it in by taking a ridiculous photo.  Finally got a new one last weekend, and the tradition continued.

My oldest nephew recently turned six!  Such fun at his bug-themed birthday bash!  To be a kid, and have the anticipation of that first bite of cake be too much to handle!

Cover?

Found this on the official website of the revival.  It appears to be the cover art of the upcoming cast recording.  Decisions like cover art can change in the blink of an eye, but this looks good to me!

Concert In Brooklyn!

Months of speculation can finally be confirmed.  Barbra will perform at The Barclay center in Brooklyn on October 11th!  Tickets will go on sale to the general public on May 21st.  Pre-sale are available beginning May 12th!  This is huge!

Amazing!

Just received a message from Amazon regrettably informing me that the release of the CD of the revival of Evita had been indefinitely delayed.  I was very upset for a second, until I clicked the link for an alternative they offered.  Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be a complete recording of the Broadway revival!  Can't even begin to explain how excited I am!  This is incredible!  Pre-ordered mine, and even spent the extra money to get it the day it's released!  Amazing!

My friend Jasmine is visiting New York, and sent me this.  Beautiful, isn't it?  In less than three weeks, I'll be seeing it for myself!
