Countdown To Lockdown: A Hardcore Journal

Sadly, Mick Foley's literary efforts get progressively worse. Like his last autobiography, Countdown To Lockdown seems hastily thrown together in an effort to meet a forgotten deadline. I'll freely admit, not following TNA at the time about which most chapters are written definitely hindered the experience. That aside, I found a lack of consistency and conviction throughout the book. Chapters dealing with death and drug use in wrestling at turns feel speciesand aimless. Finding something positive, the exploration of family issues, and personal battles is enjoyable. Frankly though, a couple of flowers in a field of weeds isn't enough to justify time and money spent.
