The ending of Raw this week was awesome. The rookies of the first season of NXT savagely invaded, and left utter destruction in their wake. I haven't been this excited about an angle in years. Seeing John Cena beat down so brutally was wonderful. Beyond that though, I'm proud of WWE for finally acknowledging the need to create new stars. At the end of the second season premiere of NXT the following night, the pros attacked the rookies as a show of solidarity. Two other possible motives come to mind. The first, a demand of respect. Second, to let them know that dues must be paid, and rules followed. If I were a pro, I would also set out to let them know that others in WWE refuse to live in constant fear of unprovoked attack, and implore them to let that stand as warning. WWE could be sitting on a goldmine with this. Let's hope the followthrough delivers.
